Mendeleev on the Periodic Law: Selected Writings, 1869-1905
In 1869, the Russian chemist Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev revealed the underlying order of matter by organizing the elements into a periodic table. This is the first English-language collection of Mendeleev's most important writings on the periodic law. Thirteen papers and essays, divided into three groups, reflect the period corresponding to the initial establishment of the periodic law, a period of priority disputes and experimental confirmations, and a final period of general acceptance for the law and increasing international recognition for Mendeleev. A single, easily accessible resource, this volume offers a history of the development of the periodic law, written by the law's own founder. 2 figures. 15 tables.

Atomic Structure and Periodicity by Jack Barrett,
Atomic Structure and Periodicity by Jack Barrett,
This book presents basic atomic theory as given in first and second year courses at university. It demonstrates that the structure of the Periodic Table as we know it is based on sound principles. Throughout the book, theoretical concepts are presented, along with the experimental evidence for them. Foundations are laid in the introductory chapter, which deals with fundamental particles, electromagnetic radiation and Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. Atomic orbitals are then described, using a minimum of mathematics, followed by a discussion of the electron configurations of the elements. Further chapters reveal the relationships between the electronic configurations of the elements and some properties of their atoms; and the variations in the properties of their fluorides and oxides across the periods and down the groups of the Periodic Table.

Cosmochemical Periodic Table of the Elements in the Solar System - In cosmochemistry, the Cosmochemical Periodic Table of the Elements in the Solar System is a periodic table that lists all known chemical elements. In addition, it supplements the standard periodic table with extra information for each element, including its condensation temperature,

Periodic table - The periodic table of the chemical elements is a tabular method of displaying the chemical elements, first devised in 1869 by the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev. Mendeleev intended the table to illustrate recurring ("periodic") trends in the properties of the elements.

Periodic table group - A periodic table group is a vertical column in the periodic table of the chemical elements. There are 18 groups in the standard periodic table.

Periodic table (Chinese) - Below is a periodic table using Chinese characters as symbols for chemical elements. Most of those symbols have been created in the 19th and 20th centuries for the specific purpose of representing chemical elements.
